Embarrassed? Surely not.
I am pleased to report that I have, for the first time, embarrassed my daughter. I'm sure it is the first of many.
Gracie has adopted a stuffed "Dora the Explorer" doll lately to be her boon companion. It goes everywhere she goes, eats dinner, brushes her teeth and more. So when Gracie was brushing her teeth last night, "Dora" decided to give her some encouragement, courtesy of Dad.
"Brush your teeth, Gracie. Muy Bueno! Boots loves to brush his teeth! Swish, swish, swash!"
She stopped dead, cringed, and said "Daaaaaaaaddddddiiiieeee!" This morning we got the same result. Dora decided to comment on Gracie playing hide and seek under the covers, and blushing was quick and intense.
I know someday she's going to be smoking a cigarette in the back of a Corvette and say "My dad is such an idiot!" But in the meantime, I think we're going to have some fun talking to Dora... :)
