Is It Really December?

I am not sure what is with the spring weather out there, but I for one, am not complaining!!

It has been wonderfully warm here for a week or more. It was so warm this weekend in Lynchburg we had to turn on the air conditioner in the house because it was so hot, and Gracie played outside for hours with her Grandpa without even a jacket. We even unloaded the car last night around 9pm and it was warm then too!

Today is no exception. It is kind of windy, but it is a warm wind and the temperatures are nearing 70! It was too pretty to stay inside, so Gracie and I stopped at Subway and headed to the park for a picnic plenty of outdoor fun.

Apparently many other parents had the same idea since the playground was quite busy. But, that didn't stop us. We ate and swang and climbed for nearly two hours. The wind was starting to really pick up and it was blowing sand and dirt in our faces, so we packed it up. I wasn't ready to go home yet so we decided to make a stop at the thrift store. Gracie ended up with a dinosaur piano, 2 Franklin books and I got a pink smocked dress for her.

Gracie is down for a nap now, and I have a feeling we will go back out. I am all for unseasonable temperatures! I say it stays this way until May!! ;) For those of you who are also experiencing the high temps--go out and enjoy it, I doubt it will last!

Check out some more pictures from today and this weekend here (look in the December folder & the Christmas in Lynchburg Folder).
