Gracie Gets An Award

We are super proud of our Gracie!

Well, we are always proud, but today was Second Grade Awards Assembly, so we got to be extra proud.

Before the awards assembly this morning, Gracie and her classmates and parents shared a celebratory "End Of The Year" breakfast, and Thomas and I were able to attend.

Thomas of course had a great time being the center of the big kids attention.

Back to the awards. Gracie received three:

*Author Award

(for creative writing)

*Reading Award

and

*Outstanding Attendance

(for not missing more than 3 days from school the entire year.)

Thomas and I cheered our second grader on as well as her classmates who also each received at least 2 awards.

Of course Thomas had a primo seat: on the floor next to Gracie with her class.

I took pictures, which aren't great with florescent lights. So, I think you will appreciate this video a little more.
