Another One Gone

I have killed another digital camera.  Well, actually, Thomas dropped it--but I have known for awhile that it was on its last leg.

I usually go through one a calendar year.  Although, this last camera hung in there with me for more than 2 years!  Until this one, all my cameras were Kodak, and did a great job. This one we got because it was a "Rugged" camera and could withstand drops and water and sand.  It did not take the world's best pictures, and I often took double the amount just to get a few keepers--but man was it tough.

And even though I knew it was past time to replace it, it couldn't have died at a worse time! Thomas' parents breakfast is tomorrow, Gracie's race is on Saturday, her cheer leading performance is Sunday, Thomas' preschool bridging and family picnic are next week and then there is Isaac's High School graduation next weekend!

I know my loving husband will get me a new one, I just hope we can find one soon.  I may not be a professional photographer, or even all that good, but I have taken pictures of just about every moment of my children's lives.  I want to have a piece of those memories to savor when they are grown, or at least when they are teenagers and I want to remember why being a mommy is awesome.

Currently on my computer I have 58,134 pictures --and those are only the edited ones. That is 6, 495 pictures that I KEEP per year, & 538 a month, making that roughly 18 pictures a day!  I can't loose momentum now!

In the meantime, I am thankful that Garren insisted on an iPhone for me.  At least I can get pictures until a new camera is found and purchased.  So, you won't see the world's best pictures, but at least I will have some to share here on the blog and Facebook.  I couldn't bare the thought of letting such important things not do documented!
