AMF Karate
I went to pick Thomas up after a abbreviated "family workout" at the gym tonight and I couldn't find him among the kids running everywhere in the kids place. I asked the attendants where my child was and they couldn't find him either.
This story gets better, but let me tell you that we have never had this kind of problem, and looking at me like it is no big deal that you can't find MY child that I left in YOUR care is NOT cool.
So, finally a lady pipes up and says that several of the "little ones" snuck in to Karate.
Well, the American Family Fitness gym has great things for kids. They have activities that run all day long and are divided by age.
A few weeks back Thomas was so upset when I picked him up "I can't do karate!"
I had no idea what he was talking about.
Well, on Thursdays at the time we were there 5-8 year olds could go and have a half hour karate class (on site, just in a different kid room).
I, and the gentleman at the desk, explained that he could do it next year. So, I wasn't surprised that he had sneaked in.
Well, I found him amongst the karate class-goers and attempted to take stealthy pics. Well, my flash went off, and so he came running. I convinced him to go back out there so I could get some more pictures, and he was happy to. It was neat to see the HUGE grin/smile on his face before and after he saw me.
Maybe they will let him go every once in a while. I know they have rules. But, it couldn't hurt--could it?!
