No Sister Day!

Well, at least not his.  But, he seemed to "tolerate" two other little sisters despite his day "off."

I was worried that Thomas would be in the worst mood since Gracie got to go back to school today and he didn't, so I asked begged Grace for a play date with Bryce today to help keep him occupied.

Well, he ended up sleeping through the morning chaos that was Gracie's first day of school, and then slept through daddy getting ready and out the door, and my shower too.  I eventually had to wake him up and tell him to get dressed that we were headed to some place fun.

Not at any point did he even ask about Gracie! I finally asked him later "where is Gracie?" He looked at me matter-of-factly and stated "at school."

So much for any devastation.  Oh well, we had a fun time with Bryce and little sister Emmy, and Chase's (who is off to Kindergarten today) little sister Taylor. These are Grace's niece & nephew and Thomas knows them from Wednesday nights at Bryce's church.

We met at the Children's Museum of Richmond, which is always a hit for my Thomas.

Grace told me to come prepared to play in the small water "park" section of the musuem, and so we had a suit and towel on hand.

We played for a little while inside before the kids were ready to splash. Thomas just loved playing in the water and the sprinklers with all the buckets over and over again.  I kept noticing the other kids ran off to play with other things in the courtyard, but my son just sat their happily splashing until he got pruny.

We took the kids over to the McDonald's next door for lunch before heading home.

Thomas and I played cars for a short while and then we both got a much needed quiet time.

Gracie was late getting off the bus, which is normal for the first day, but for a child who could have cared less where his sister was today, he sure was happy to see her walk up the sidewalk.
