Preschool Class Birthday Celebration

The Thomas' birthday train hasn't ended yet. In fact it has a few more stops to make.  Like preschool today.

Thomas picked ice cream cups and sprinkles for his birthday treat.  I picked the decor :)

Thomas was so excited to share his birthday with his friends. Of course he is more excited about his birthday party coming Thursday (if we can make it--stupid snow!), but a chance to eat sugar and be the center of attention is a great start.

Like most kids you have your picky eaters. I knew ahead of time at least two of them wouldn't eat ice cream, and another child would only drink water. So I came prepared with a bottle of water, and with a bag of cookies.

Super mom! ;)

Thomas got super bashful when everyone looked at him and sang, which is so funny to me, because almost NOTHING embarrasses or silences that child.

But, he perked right back up after he got to take the birthday hat off (he has never been a fan of homemade hats, or hats really at all!).

The kids loved their ice creams and the sprinkles he chose, plus last minute Thomas wanted to share the M & M's grandpa bought him last night, so that was definitely a hit!  I made life easier on myself and gave a small sample of each on the plate and put the ice cream cup in the middle so they could add what they wanted.

I gathered my decorations and left after snack time. It is little things like this I live for!

  1. Oh wow, you put on a whole party! Just a little something to hold him over until the real party!

  2. Awww! He is so lucky to get to celebrate with other kids. Poor Jolee is three and still has no friends. It's all boys at church (in her age group that is).
