Playing With Emmy

Oh, you would be so jealous of my morning!

I dropped Thomas off at preschool in his green shirt, and with a bag full of green apples for snack to share. And, then I went home and played with Emmy.

Well, technically, Grace brought Emmy over to my house to play while she caught up on a series I DVR'd for her, but clearly I got the better end of the deal.  Just like any 2 year old, she saw her mommy enjoying herself and instantly wanted her undivided attention. Thankfully, she thought I would do in a pinch.

We played Little People and house and tea party and we pretended to make breakfast on the little stove.  It made me so happy inside as I got to relive those toddler moments I had with my children (mostly Gracie).  Gracie and I would play and play all day and make up fun adventures and have tea parties.  Thomas never really like to play with me.  Well, he wants me to play with him, but his idea of playing together is me watching him play, because if I move something or actually play, I do it wrong and I have to put it back where he had it.  (Wonder where he gets that from...hmmm ;)

Oh, it was so sweet to play with a little one again. She would go with any of my ideas and she might have thought I was nuts, but she was smiling and laughing, and I was enjoying our girly play time just as much (maybe more) than she was.

Thanks for coming to play with me Emmy. You made my morning!
