Kindergarten Winter Party

It was Thomas' class' turn for their winter celebration before Christmas break.

Mrs. Naff decided she would rather have a party on Thursday and leave Friday as a regular school day before heading home for 2 weeks.  And since Mrs. Madison wanted Friday for the girls, I was happy to oblige.

We planned a breakfast party for the kids complete with waffles and toppings, doughnuts, muffins, sausage, fruit, chocolate milk and juices.  And, they got to wear their pajamas to school!

While the past two snacks went mostly into the trash bag, the kids devoured these breakfast treats. I loved seeing not so much wasted, and I loved seeing so many parents. Because of "party" rules at our school each class is only allowed two. And, if parents come it is considered a party, so when I plan a special event with my co-room mom we have to call it a "snack" and remind parents to stay at home.

The kids loved seeing their parents today too!

After a lot of breakfast I helped talk them though making an ornament reindeer craft and then we room moms started the big clean up.

I did get to see the kids find a spot on the carpet to begin their stocking exchange before I left though.  Each child was asked to bring in a stocking and 23 of any item.

I got cute. I sent in 23 pocket tissues with this tag:

I loved being practical...and cutesy!
