Mommy's Little Shepherd Boy

These are the things mamas live for!

I always wanted Gracie to be in a Nativity production, but our small (and wonderful) church in Strasburg never did one while we lived there.

Thomas, mommy's little ham, is no stranger to the stage, and he lives to give the crowd what they want, so I think you'll be able to pick him out of the line up of cuties that he spends Wednesday nights with.

Their production was tonight and they have been practicing for it since September, and as expected, these kids were too cute, and too proud to belt out their joy for Jesus in song.

And, while I LOVED watching my little guy sing his heart out, I melted when he walked down the isle after a brief intermission as a shepherd holding the hands of his little sheep Emmy & Maggie.  MELTED!!

I attempted to capture the video but all the lights were off and you can't see anything, but trust me--it was so precious.

Seeing him on that stage remaking the scene that would be the miracle that we all hold so dear was a special and wondrous thing.

During the "intermission" of the kids performance, the kids and the teens decorated Bryce's church with greenery and poisiettas before inviting all the families in attendance to come up and choose an ornament and place on the Chrismon tree.  We have never done that either, so it was a special opportunity for our family to share in the Christmas spirit.

While we do not belong to this church, they are so loving and wonderful to our son and by extension our whole family. Thomas loves going and sharing his Wednesday nights with his best friend Bryce and all the new friends he has made, and we are so glad that they are not only willing to take him once a week, but that they treat him like family while he is there.
