Oh Christmas Tree

After Jesus' birthday party, we decided to try and decorate the Chritmas tree.

Yes, we just bought and put up our tree yesterday.

And, yes, we are just now getting it decorated.

Daddy and Gracie picked out the tree this year, and for the first time ever we got to bring it home the easy way.

Thomas and I hung at home as he still didn't feel well enough--even if it was picking out the tree.

Tonight, he seemed to be excited to hang ornaments, so he and Gracie took turns adding their favorites to the great smelling branches.

They were very proud of their final version, and mommy only moved a few after they went to bed. (Thomas tends to hang them all from the bottom two branches.)

PS:  One of these days I will have my own "pretty" themed tree.  I have given up on my picturesque Christmas tree like Cracker Barrel and other stores have.  The kids are young and want to hang their mismatched stuff all over it---but one day, one day I will have my own pretty tree....and I will miss their cluttered eclectic ornaments and the excitement they had choosing them one by one and sharing stories of where it came from.
