Really It Was a Treat For Me

I can't think of a better way to spend a Monday in the Christmas season!

Thomas best buddy Bryce got the flu.

We are praying that we avoid it this year as the vaccine is doing no good.  The strain mutated and apparently set up camp at Mechanicsville Elementary School. So many kids have gotten the flu and been sent home that a note from the principal came home giving preventive tips.  Mrs. Naff had 7 missing from her class last week!

So anyway, Grace has been home tending to her sick little man, and I knew it was her grocery day, so she let me entertain her cuties while she got some much needed shopping done.

We had a great time.

We played games, all of which Bryce won! We watched Daniel Tiger, we had a snack, and we build a blanket fort in the master bedroom!

----

Sunday at Jesus' birthday party I insisted to an exasperated Keri to let me take Rachael for her so she could get some Christmas shopping done.

Not only did she take me up on my offer, but she did it on a gorgeous day.

So, when Grace returned from her shopping, I texted Keri to bring Rachael over and go get started on hers!

Rachael and I had tons of fun.  We played Little People and matching games.  We went outside and ride the tricycle and did sidewalk chalk art.

We worked on coloring and making our letters.  Oh, and we had left over pizza from the birthday party yesterday as well.

It was a great time!

It truly is my pleasure when these two moms share their little ones with me.  I miss mine so much, and I enjoy getting to play during the day, or really any time, with such special little people. And, helping out another mom is icing on the cake!

Rachael loves and iphone and taking pictures of herself. I ended up with over 50!
