He's Mine!!

Here's how today's first grade "briefing" went with Thomas...

"I think I want to marry a girl in that class."
(Middle school choir performed at his school today)

"You want you to marry someone?"

"What?! I saw a pretty girl."

"Well, I'm sorry, but you are all mine and no one else can have you."

"But you'll be old someday and die."

"Thanks for the reminder Thomas Fine. You can get married when you are 30."

--------

I said my kids would not be interested in the other gender in elementary school because it's "inappropriate." See how that worked.

But, as a reminder to all those who think I'm not kidding, I made a chalk sign while Thomas and I played outside in the super warm December afternoon.

  1. Ruth Hughes Hoffman Baloney! Or is it Bologna?

    Cathy Bishop Naff Excuse me......

Barbara Miller Shipley Sorry--you knew this going in wink emoticon

Garren Shipley Oh dear. I'll be home soon...

Heather Shipley Walsh I won't shatter your illusion. This veteran mom of boys will spare you the heartache for now, but I know what lies ahead. wink emoticon

Heather Shipley Walsh For now, Charlie says he's marrying me even though I'm already married to Daddy. I'm going to enjoy this time as much as I can, because it'll soon be gone frown emoticon

Beky Steinbrecher How on earth did you get down long enough to do all that? Motivation? smile emoticon

Barbara Miller Shipley Ha, getting down was easier than getting back up--not that it was graceful either way! Totally didn't think it through!! wink emoticon And it was 60+ degrees so I suggested we play outside after school, so the chalk was just a opportunity wink emoticon

Candice GeFellers This is just proof that you handle pregnancy/parenting like a champ. Go have this baby next week, and have another one next year too! GIRL!!!!!!!!
