Water Park Fun

The money we made from the yard sale was earmarked for Cobblestone.  That's a local water park that I have been wanting to take the kids to since we moved here in August of 2010.

We haven't been yet.

So, on to the Richmond Bucket List it went, and the kids excitedly wanted to use their yard sale money for admission.

We were going to go today!

Thankfully and unfortunately, I looked the website for hours of operation, only to find out they don't open 7 days  a week until NEXT week!!

So, plan B.

Pocahontas State Park. They have a water "park" inside the actual wooded park and we have been once before.

It was a 45 minute ride out there, but it was well worth it!

We all had a great time and the kids loved it.

I had invited Cheyenne and her mom to go with us if they wanted to Cobblestone, and then they were game with the change in plans.

We spent several hours splashing in the water and thoroughly enjoying ourselves.

I even took time to go down one of the water slides!

Gracie had been thinking about it all day, and she finally got brave and tried it.  Then she raced back to the end of the line, and ended up going down 10 more times during our stay! She is hooked, and can't wait to find more water slides this summer.

I think we will definitely have to plan this water outing again this summer. It was a wonderful day, even with a little sunburn (we re-applied 3-4 times, but that sun was crazy and mama can't reach her back!!)
