Election Day Excitement

Per our annual (and sometimes twice annual) routine, Gracie, Garren and I headed to the polls in Strasburg today to cast our ballots.
We had to stand in line for a little while, but Gracie was very patient. She and daddy stood a little longer so they could use the one new electronic voting machine. I decided to skip the line and do it the old fashioned way. Garren let Gracie push the buttons on the machine, a Shipley family tradition since 1982; except when Garren helped his dad there were levers instead of a laptop.
Following our vote, we decided to start a new family tradition: an election breakfast. We took Gracie to I-Hop where she practically grossed us out on how much she ate. Our "little' one ate her pancake, strawberries, a link sausage, her scrambled eggs, 2 of daddy's pancakes, and my garlic toast! She may explode later--but she had a great time doing it!

**Above: Gracie is very proud of her "I Voted Sticker." Below: check out the amount of breakfast she's eaten!
