Snuggly Storytime

I had to share this picture of Mallory reading a bedtime story to Gracie tonight. Colette had insisted on cooking me a birthday dinner, and since I got stuck in Lynchburg for so long, it was postponed until tonight so the whole family came over for dinner.

Colette fixed me fettucinie (sp?) Alfredo with chicken and broccoli and garlic bread sticks. It was heavenly, she is such a fantastic cook (another reason I love when they come over to "play"). And, for desert she fixed my all time favorite cake: red velvet with cream cheese icing!!!

After the scrumptious dinner Gracie was ready to pull out everything in her room and play with our company. We played puppets for a while and she showed off her new stage. Things were going swimmingly until bedtime. Garren and I were so embarrassed as Gracie screamed her head off as Garren got her dressed for bed.

We allowed Gracie to have her bedtime story in the living room read by Mallory, which is a wonderful treat for her. Poor Mallory found the story so funny though she was in tears. But, Gracie was so exhausted she didn't seem to notice! Gracie was so snuggled with Mallory that I thought she would fall asleep right there! I had to snap this picture.
