"Gracie's Here Mom!"

Gracie is home, and smiling.

And, I am smiling, because her wonderful new teacher took time out of her afternoon and emailed me to let me know how the day went.

She told me that Gracie was offered help several times today, but she did things on her own, even putting the chair on the desk at the end of the day!

Her exact quote:

"She was quite independent today - she definitely didn't let the cast get in her way! "

Gracie said she had a great day and made a new friend: Sara. She was partnered with a girl she recognized from Ms. Sutton's class: Miranda, and Clara helped her at lunch today with opening things in her lunchbox.

She told me lots more too, and I was thrilled to hear the excitement in her voice.

Looks like we are off to a great fourth grade year!

PS: Her classroom has a blog! So, now I can see all this happening and keep up to date! How awesome is that?!!
