Thomas' First Ever Show And Tell
So, not everyone thinks that is such a big deal--but then there are those of us who do.
Those of us, mind you not many, who make a special canvas bag with fabric and fabric paint and add a touch of vintage sesame street flash cards to make it special for him to carry his treasure in to school.
Those of us, who not only ask nicely in an email if pictures will be taken of the momentous occasion, but are sure to pass of their personal camera through the driver-side window at preschool drop off to ensure photos.
Those of us, who will bribe the teacher to take said photos by offering to email each and every child's parent a picture of their child and their show and tell if they will only use the camera.
Those of us, who make our child pose outside for this big day, knowing it is kind of silly, but also knowing that this "first" is just a step in the mountain of "firsts" that he has already conquered and of the many more that lie ahead. Knowing that celebrating every moment no matter how silly means something to you and something to him because it shows how important you both are to each other and how fleeting preschool and childhood and special days are.
**Thank you Mrs. Kim for reluctantly, but wonderfully taking photos of not only my child's first Show and Tell, but his friends as well. How happy those other parents were to get a copy in their emails today.**
Awww! Too cute! I'm going to be that Thomas will find something with wheels for almost every single letter!
