Always Impressive Gracie
It is Tuesday, so it is "dress to impress" day for her all girls class.
Apparently the all boys class has a day that they do this and they come to school in nice shirts and ties (I would LOVE to see this!!), and the girls asked Mrs. Mullenaux a few weeks back if they could have a day like that too.
Consider me thrilled!
I love my Gracie in every way, but I can't help but beam when she is all fixed up, instead of throwing on whatever she found closest to where she crawled out of bed.
She looks pretty all mornings, but she looks especially pretty this morning.
I love that she lets me take pictures of her, even for the silliest of mommy reasons.
I love that she still lets me pick out and buy her clothes (even though she has gotten a little more opinionated since she turned 9)
I love that she wants me to walk her the bus stop in the mornings instead of waving from the front door.
I love that I *can* walk to the bus stop, even though some mornings the bed does NOT want to let go.
I love that she still waits for me to kiss her goodbye before she boards said bus.
I love that she is a chatterbox.
I love that she has great ideas and gets super excited about them.
I love that she still wants to spend time with me.
I love that she forgives me for not spending as much one on one time with her as I should.
I love that she is a mess, even though it drives me crazy--because she owns it and is the first to announce "that's just the way God made me."
I love that she knows God made her, and gave her to me.
I love that more often than not she is a loving sister to her brother.
I love that for most things in her life she will convince herself to at least try.
I love that she thinks boys are gross and annoying.
I love that every time I got to a store I find so many things and think of her.
I love how much she loves pink and princesses and ponies.
I love that she made me a mommy.
I love that she is mine.
