We Got A Tree
I could say "finally." but really we always wait until mid-December to put up a tree. I like to keep the holidays separate, but really it was more of a small child in the house kind of policy for the most of the past 9 years. Although Garren says he is firm about the post-Pearl Harbor day decorating plan.
Either way--it is bought.
Nope, not up.
It is late and the kids need bed and baths (not in that order), plus all the rain needs to drip out of the tree we picked out tonight from our local Home Depot.
Wanna know how we always get our tree home? You know we own two Hondas, right? Well, every year we find away to shove that evergreen in someway and cart it home. In year's past it has been a frigid ride home with the backseat partially down and the trunk tied as closed as possible on the drive from Winchester to Strasburg (25 minutes for those of you who don't know), but this year we made it home without any unwanted cold air in the 5 minute ride to the house.
We will bring it in and decorate tomorrow.

I still really want to get a real tree one year!
