Bible School With Bryce, Night 5 (Finale)
Thomas has been itching to get his Weird Animals shirt on all day and go and "sing on the stage tonight!"
My little rock star can't wait to get up in front of everyone and show his moves. I have said it before, and I will say it again: I have no idea where he gets it from!
Tonight was for the whole family, so Thomas and I left to be at the dinner they were preparing at 6. Daddy joined us when he got off work. Dinner was hotdogs and chips and beans and tea. Perfect summer southern dinner food for a Bible School finale.
Of course, Thomas and the other kids ate their food lightening quick and ended up running around while waiting for the program to begin.
Thomas sat with his group for most of the program and anxiously awaited his turn to get up and sing. I figured they would start with preschool and Kindergarten, but they started with the first graders, so he had to wait a while longer.
But, then they got their chance, and I love the song they picked out for them to perform!
After the program ended they surprised the kids with an ice cream truck. Thomas had forgotten all about getting to do that last year, so it was a real surprise for him.
He and daddy waited their turn in line while I snapped a few pictures.
I guess Thomas ran faster this year, because Bryce and his family were much farther back in the line. But, we were sure to stop and say goodbye before heading home.
These two best buds have had a pretty good week this week. It is so neat to see their little friendship--mostly because there is nothing "little" about it.
Thanks again Bryce for inviting Thomas to Bible School with you again this year, he had a wonderful time!
