Awards Week For Gracie
It was a busy and proud week for our all-too-close-to-11 year old this week.
She and her class were honored on Tuesday by Officer Chapman from the Hanover County Sheriff's Department for their 10-week long participation in the D.A.R.E program.
In addition to class time once a week the girls (and all 5th graders) had to complete an essay and a poster about what they learned during the session.
Gracie and her classmates wore DARE shirts to the graduation and were called up one at a time to receive their certificates.
I returned to school on Friday morning to see my girl receive her Honor Roll award. We are always so proud of Gracie, but 5th grade has been very hard (academically) on her, but she keeps on plowing through.

Great job Gracie on all you accomplished this week, and all you continue to do at school during your 5th grade year.
We are so proud of you!
