Birthday Dinner A Little Late
We did finally make it out for a birthday dinner...just a day late.
Gracie and Thomas were out of school again today, but the sun was shinning and all that mush melted as quickly as it could by afternoon.
Gracie chose Applebee's (she wanted steak), and as an added bonus, not long after we were seated, the family from up the street sat down a table over from us. So, Cheyenne was able to share in Gracie's birthday dinner celebration as well.
Typically we wait for the weekend when Grandma & Grandpa come in to do presents and cake and candles, but Gracie got another gift today. She loved the Frozen bath towel that Bryce and Emmy brought by this afternoon. And, she and Thomas loved that they stayed to play!
***She was so excited to wear her new dress (that I scored at the thrift store last month!) and her new dress shoes that are women's size since she maxed out kids sizes tonight. Unfortunately, I forgot to snap the picture before dinner. My girl may be 11, but she is still Gracie, and she is wearing many drips from her hot fudge cake desert. :) ***
