Mommy's Birthday Do-Over

Yesterday was a bad one.  Not that it matters much when you are turning 38. Adult birthdays don't really count--and that's a good thing since I am pretty sure the only thing that counted yesterday was that I was a day older and leaped into a new box on standardized forms.

But today, well today, I threw a party for myself.  After all, a new box on a government form is a big deal--probably.

***PS: Many thanks to my parents who slipped an ice cream cake (my favorite!!) into the freezer after their visit to celebrate Thomas' birthday Saturday--it was the brightest spot on my actual birthday yesterday. Thank you for remembering me. ***
