Church Love

Most kids talk most about their actual birth-day or their birthday parties, but this boy has been talking for a WEEK about how the people at church will sing to him on Wednesday night.

Pastor Jay always takes time to do birthdays and anniversaries before he does the prayer for Wednesday night dinners at church. And, Thomas couldn't wait.

As soon as he asked, that almost 8 year old arm shot way up in the air. Oh how he shinned as the whole fellowship hall sang to him. I guess I must have been shinning too much as I pointed the phone at him on video and apparently didn't push "record" hard enough.

He got more attention in class. While his mama is the teacher, I also make a fuss over any and all children who have birthdays that week. He got a birthday crown and a special gift and beamed from ear to ear.

It's going to be a long couple of days as we celebrate this boy over and over again!
