Thomas' Mind
The mind of my 8 year old never stops, and far too often I am so
overwhelmed by life and children and his incessant chatter that I
overlook his innocence and pure curiosity--and with those, the chance to
really parent him.
Tonight he crawled in my bed and we loud whispered as Tobias was sleeping in the crib and I really heard his questions:
"Mom, what does it mean when you raise just your middle finger?" (Happened on the bus)
This lead to a discussion on how to handle anger, bullies, bad words and what Jesus wants us to do.
"Mom, why doesn't x go to church?" (Child who raised middle finger to other child ((not to Thomas))
Wow my son. Your heart is as big as your curiosity and your world has always been so full of Jesus you can't understand why someone else wouldn't fill their world with Him too.
