Second Sunday Of Advent

Tonight we also lit our second candle of Advent. (Actually, we lit the first and second since we were so sick last Sunday and hadn't gotten candles, but I digress)

I am not sure that Gracie remembers doing this from last year, or that she even understood it's significance, but I think it is important for our family remember the reason for the season.

I held Gracie while Daddy lit the candles, and I read a prayer for each week. I was lucky to find some kid friendly ones online.

Tonight was a very special night of Christmas preparation for our family. I am very blessed...my cup runeth over!

O Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace,
come and save your people.
Joy of every heart,
Strength of those who are poor,
come quickly to help us.

Prince of Peace,
teach the lion and the little lamb,
teach the cat and the mouse,
the the hawk and the tiny bird,
teach everyone who doesn't get along
to live in peace.
