Legos

I can't fight it anymore. He only wants to do "teeny tiny Legos" like Bryce.  Of course Bryce has the patience to figure out how to put them together and sit still long enough to finish the project and Thomas has a massive collection of the preschool size Legos--but, what can you do. (Nothing)

So, I wasn't all that surprised when Mamaw and Papaw took the kids to Toys R Us (without me) to pick out their Christmas presents and he proudly came back with this monster.

Now, usually, the few "teeny tiny Lego" sets (he calls them that) we have are done with daddy. That is SOOO a daddy job. But, daddy, Uncle Luke and Papaw spent most of their Thanksgiving holiday shouting at the TV and the football players on it.

And, a child with a new toy is NOT going to wait until we get home to see his new fun play set.

I would like your compliments and my sticker for not only doing the Lego set with him, but for figuring it out without pulling out my hair and finding a way to have him help me.

The police station is in three parts, and there are 4 vehicles. I got 3 vehicles done at Mamaw & Papaw's house and we got 2 of the 3 sections of the structure completed.

We finished off the largest section (the jail) as promised after school today.

This thing was a beast! But, it was a lot of fun to work on and finish and BOTH kids are happily playing away with the station and the police people and the "bad guys."

Thank you Mamaw & Papaw for the VERY generous early Christmas gift. We got it all finished!! And, Thomas loves it!!

  1. Wow, Thomas! How cool! Now, if you liked Cinderella, J could hook you up with some more Legos!
