Wrapping Up A Year Of The Violin
Tonight is Gracie's final orchestra concert. Saturday she heads out with her violin friends to Busch Gardens for a competition (and day of fun), but this is the last chance for us parents to see and hear.
I realized in all the baby commotion this year I hadn't really done a good job of capturing her and her instrument. I am so thankful for orchestra this 6th grade year. It has been such a hard year for her, and learning to play the violin has been the one very bright spot. She is excited to do it again next year--and if you ask her she will tell you she is going to do it all the way through high school.
Before I took her to her concert I had her pull out the instrument and got some good pictures of her with it. I love the way she smiles so big as she handles it.
Now, if I can just get her to practice over the summer--and more in general!
