Please Make Time

This Thanksgiving we each are so thankful for family and friends, new technology, church and home, food and shelter and a multitude of other amazing gifts that God has given us. What may not always be on our minds is the blessing of a free country and the gift of people willing to fight for us and our families. Many of those people won't be home Thursday with their families gathered around turkey, nor will they be home with their kids on Christmas morning to watch them tear into Santa's bounty like Garren and I will.

I am asking all of my readers to take a minute...and I mean 60 seconds, to send your thanks to a soldier abroad.

You can thank those in uniform by clicking here and picking out a thank you card. Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed forces. Whether you are for or against the war, those people proudly serving need to know we appreciate the time they spend away from their families to protect ours.

I just sent one from Gracie, it took 60 seconds. Please make the time to send a card.

***When you go to this site you will be asked to pick a illustration for your card done by school children from all over, the above picture is the one I picked for Gracie's card. What a wonderful Thanksgiving idea, thanks Shannon***
