My Thoughts On YOGA
Yes people, I said "Yoga." Not only did I say it--I did it--because my daughter wanted to do the class at the gym.
1. It is hard to try to believe like you are not looking like a big 'ole fool when two sides of the room are completely covered in mirrors.
2. The music, as Sophia would say "sounded like someone trying to tune a piano."I wonder if they would be hip to a download of the Karate Kid soundtrack? I could enjoy that!
3. The awesome new mat I purchased for the "experience" ($8 find at Marshalls y'all!) clearly needed more than 12 hours to air out that plastic smell.
4. Bodies contorting, twisting, faint sound of piano tuning, all round quiet--was I the only one worried about a bodily sound?!
5. I looked like an idiot, I felt like an idiot, but surprisingly all those back, neck, and leg pinches/knots I have been feeling for the past 5 years, kind of moved and slightly un-knotted. Ha. Coincidence I bet! ;)
Here's to Mother/Daughter yoga* on Monday evenings at 5:30 at the gym. She was apparently no scared by her attempt along side her very ungraceful mother, and she wants to go again next week.
**It isn't actually called a mother/daughter class. We are just doing it together. But, that would be a cute idea. Maybe I could get bonus points for pitching it?!**
