No Teeth Pulling!
I can't not describe to you the load of relief when the orthodontist told me to give Thomas three more months to wiggle those other two front teeth out!
Today was our follow up visit. As I told you back in May, Thomas' new teeth are coming in almost completely perpendicular to his mouth, and the dentist told me he felt like the ones on either side of the new big teeth should come out to straighten things. He wanted a second opinion with the orthodontist and this was the earliest appointment we could get.
I have been wringing my hands on this one folks. While, I know in life parents have to do things that are uncomfortable for their children that are in fact in their best interest--but I wasn't sure how well I would handle my 5 year old having teeth extracted.
Since we were in the office, and Gracie was with me, and her appointment is next week--the orthodontist offered to go ahead and look at Gracie's mouth: two-fur!
Gracie was just supposed to have another consultation as well as they are waiting for the right amount of teeth to be out and the right amount to be in before they start: braces.
She told me to wait another three months for her as well since she has several more loose ones!
So, we are done with teeth drama for the summer, and we will head back to the office in October.

All new patients have to fill out a questionnaire, and even though he is 5, the hygienist told me to go ahead and help him. I love his answers!
