Silly Science And Bryce
We have a Romp & Roll here in Mechanicsville. Something that is very unfair to Gracie. There was a Little Gym in Winchester when she was this age, but the fees and membership were completely out of our range. And, you know our Gracie loves gymnastics and dance and all those girly things. So, having to sit on the sidelines while her brother has gotten to romp and roll and use all sorts of fun equipment many times in the past 2 years (all at birthday parties) has been super hard for her.
Thankfully our visit today was not in the gym room and didn't involve any of those jealousy-inducing mats and equipment.
We are on the mailing list for the place, and this week they offered $10 classes with no added fees! I hated to waste that opportunity.
I talked to Grace about letting the boys go together, and we chose the Silly Science class (super early) this morning.
It was a small class that assembled in their party room, and I am not sure what I was expecting, but the kids all seemed to have a great time.
They started in a circle and listened to a book about liquids and solids. Then, they moved to the tables for experiments.
They did lots of different things with silly putty, and in the end got to make their own putty to take home. Thomas chose green of course, his favorite color while best friend Bryce picked red food coloring.
The boys seemed to really enjoy themselves. We are traveling this week to see my nephew before he ships out, otherwise I think I would have taken advantage of more $10 classes! I will definitely keep a look out for more of these opportunities in the email box.
